Mitsubishi IC type M51977P,FP are the off-line primary PWR controller which are especially designed for SMPS to get the regulated DC voltage from AC power supply.

As the tetmpole type high power-driver-circuit is integrated in these IC,these IC can drive the MOS-FET with fast rise and fast fall output pulse.
Type M51977P,FP have the functions of not only high frequency OSC and fast output drive but also current limit with fast response an high sensibility so the true "fast switching regurator" can be realized.
They have another big features of current protection to short and over current at secondary side,owing to the integrated timer type protection-circuit,if few parts are added to the primary circuit
